Every semester, the IPC arranges numerous workshops with well-known German and International companies. These workshops can be attended by students of all disciplines, which is a difference to our internships that are only available to students of Industrial or Computational Engineering.

The content of a workshop is very specific. Consequently, the various workshops offered by us cover a wide range of possible topics, such as a presentation of a company itself, an overview of the chances to start a career and case studies including a following presentation to company representatives. A workshops usually takes one or two days, depending on the venue and additional program like guided plant tours.

Now, why should you participate in a workshop? Which advantages does it bring along?

• Do you know an easier way to get in touch with a company in order to get information about internships, about writing a Bachelor‘s or Master’s thesis in cooperation with the company or about chances to start a career?
• During a workshop, there is plenty of time to get to know each other; you can learn something about the company and vice versa. In contrast to this, you won’t have that amount of time on job fairs, where queuing with lots of other students and being dispatched within a couple of minutes are – unfortunately – common things to happen.
• After the workshops, most companies offer opportunities for private conversation. Sometimes, they might even offer a direct chance to entry.
